Comment, Baby. I Am Not Afraid.
Here's what's called an open thread. Post comments about whatever you like, OK Go-related or otherwise. I care not. It's just an experiment. It's also an invitation, I guess, to those of you with something to say, but no blog to say it in. And also to those of you who are too lazy (or scared) to visit the OK Go Bulletin Board.

So Rusty...here's my comment. I was supposed to see y'all in LA, but my friend was a punk and didn't get to my house in time and we missed the show. I'm still broken up over not seeing the new dance routine or what other songs you can now play.

Keep up with the west coast tours, I'll be there.

From your answers, I'm guessing you're pretty disheveled.

On another note, that whole michael jackson thing is pretty nuts, huh? did you see that woman releasing white doves into the crowd as they read the verdict?

I love you guys. The new music is great. Come to ohio. now.
apparently, from what I've been told, it's for lovers.

I'd like to say that I really can't wait for the new album. I've been listening to the CD single for "Do What you Want" nonstop since seeing you in Jersey w/the Kaiser Chiefs!

I'd also like to say that I think OK Go is one of the hardest working bands out there. Not many bands try to reach out to their fans personally, and I really think it's great. Can't wait for you to come back to NY!

I think if there's a general consensus that you should all come back to New York? Why deny the masses of what they want??

Also I've got a question for Damian:
Why did you decide to cut your hair?

10:22 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Yes, I would also like to know what propelled you to cut your hair. Not that it looks bad, because I'm quite certain nothing could make you look bad, but still. The shaggy hair was hot.

Also, come to Boston. I am dying to see you guys again.

Annnd, when will there be new tour dates? I want to plan trips and such to see you gus, but if you don't tour then I can't. And if you don't post tour dates I can't get off from work. For my sake, and every other fans sake...TOUR SOON!

I noticed a suspicious lack of information about a certain rather scandalous photoshoot in a recent issue of Jane. I think the readers of this blog would very much like to see it, don't you?

I would like to say that even though my friend and i missed half of OkGo's set at the Avalon, it was worth going to see the new dance..it's great. It's always great.

i think it's just me, but I have a comment about Damien. The first 20 secs you spend with Damien is great, he makes you feel like a million bucks, but the last 20 secs he spares you makes you feel like you're just in his way...it's a weird S&M thing going on, cuz as a fan i want to talk to him, but then i don't want to be on the aftertaste of the first 20 seconds... i just want to be breathing the same air he does, but sometimes he makes it feel like there is not enough air for me to breath in.

& i'm waiting for his tight red pants to bust open!

Hello there. This is Zoe, who just saw you all at the Oakland, Santa Ana, and LA shows. I just wanted to say to Andy that I'm really sorry I caused you to be detained on your way to the party after the show at the Avalon. It was really great of you to stop and talk to me, and I saw that it caused you to be stopped by a bunch of people when you were clearly in a hurry. I'm sorry. I really never want to be a bother or burden to you or anyone else in the band with my picture-taking and all that. Thank you for being so great to your fans and in particular for being so tolerant of my enthusiasm, even when it is ill-timed.

You guys are ridiculously fabulous, and I hope you are enjoying some well-earned time to yourselves now that the tour is over. Thanks for everything.

~Zoe

P.S. I talked to a bunch of Kaiser Cheifs fans at the concert and they all were floored by your set. I directed them all to the website. ("It's .NET, not .COM.") So way to win over the masses. Not that there was any chance you wouldn't.

Come back to LA! You lot were fantastic performing at the Avalon - I don't think one person in the venue wasn't a fan after your performance and new dance. OK Go + Kaisers = brilliant.

I love my MP3 player. I call him Julian. When I am having a bad day Julian can always make me smile. Julian never tells me my eyebrows need plucking. Julian never tells me to stop watching cartoons. Julian never tells me that I can't go out with James because he is too old.
No, Julian just plays music that I like.

P.S. You guys should come back to the UK! I miss your funkadelic, splendidlious, superphantastisch dance routines!

I remember my first OK Go concert, back when I was 13, when no one had heard of OK Go. Back then, you guys (-Rusty, +Andy Duncan) wore jeans and t-shirts. I remember prostrating my shrieking self at Damian's feet, asking him insane amounts of questions, telling him about my upcoming birthday in shrill tones, and other highly embarrassing things which must have gotten quite annoying. Damian took it very well. I'm just glad he never remembers me.

How the band has changed since then...

Salut Ok Go!!

To Jorge- I wonder what the experiment is all about... perhaps it is to see how much Michael Jackson is mentioned in the thread... on an unrelated charge, I ordered a t-shirt and other items that I have not recieved... I sincerely hope to recieve this stuff soon, and will wear it at my next few gigs... you are still appreciated Jorge, despite this setback in my wardrobe.

To OK Go- Thank you for being great guys and chatting it up with me and my girlfriend at the Minneapolis show. You made a lot of fans happy by being accessable, and I didn't get a chance to tell you how inspiring your show was! As a performer, I love a band that has fun with the crowd.

Thanks guys!

It just goes to show how great you guys are that you converted a heavy metal woman into a squealing/gushy teenager. I am said child. Sad, yes, but it's your fault not mine. :P
Love the sweet dance moves. (Jorge has got it goin' on!)
Please please come to Louisiana! We are in serious need of rocking w/ you boys.

Ok Go rocks my non-existant-socks (barefoot and proud of it)

Houston is a street in Manhattan's Lower East Side, as well as a city in Texas, only we say it HOW-stun, not HEW-stun. I think you should come play somewhere on or around HOW-stun street, but not Mercury Lounge because their shows are always 21+.

today i had orientation at a day camp. i was assigned a general counselor position (as opposed to being a "group" counselor) with 3 other girls. all day i listened to them complain about the lack of tips involved in our job. i, on the other hand, informed them that my brother had never been highly tipped even though he was a "group" counselor (and he was loved like a big teddy bear). still, they complained. now im complaining about them complaining. oh how the world goes round.

your new video cheered me up. nice job boys.
