So Let's Say Hi While The Radio's On
Every time a radio station plays "Here It Goes Again" a baby rhino somewhere in Africa rolls around on his cute little belly and chortles in glee. Do you want to take away the only thing that baby rhino has? Neither do we.

That baby rhino really wants you to call up radio stations and request "Here It Goes Again." Even better, he wants you to call stations after they've played it and tell them how much you like the song and the fact that they chose to play it instead of, say, something crappier.

Here's a list of radio stations. Pick a station, program the number into your phone, and then go crazy. If your station isn't there because a) they suck, b) we suck, c) this list only has US stations on it, then send an email to info at okgo.net and we'll get it updated.

Damn, 42 states plus D.C.! Wow!

What's up with Alaska? Cold-hearted bastards ... (get it?)

WXRT is playing it?? Wild, I haven't heard it on there yet.

And it warms my heart to see that Green Bay and Oshkosh stations are playing it--that's back where I grew up. *sniff*

The only time I actually listen to the radio is in the morning when I'm too incoherent/ late for class to do up my iPod. And during this rare occurrence, my station of choice is usually WKQK (because it's too early to groove to funky disco on WNND 100.3 Love FM). But I'll have you know that I've heard HIGA basically every morning or afternoon this week on Q101. It's actually really startling. Sometimes I even shout in the general direction of my radio saying, "It's about damn time, you twats." But alas, no one can hear me. So I'm going to start calling them up and offering copious amounts of praise for playing such stellar music. I've been in that station/ met half the people there, so I'll be sure to use that to my & ultimately OK Go's advantage. Excellent.

Oh yeah. And I guess 101.9 and 99.9 (aka 92.7) do a satisfactory job of throwing HIGA in the mix. Yeah, Chicago's ownin' it.

I frickin' love this kind of shit. Okay, I just spazzed on here last night about XRT supposedly playing HIGA. I listen to them every morning while I'm getting ready and I'd never heard it on there. Not that I necessarily didn't believe they were playing it, but I'd never heard it on there at that time. Anyway, so I'm driving home just a few minutes ago, forty minute drive, with a CD on the whole time except for a brief bit of having XRT on the radio before putting CD in, blah blah blah. I pull into the driveway at home, take the CD out, and "Under My Thumb" by the Stones is just finishing. Pause. A new song starts ... and it's fucking HIGA!!!!! Meanwhile, I've been thinking about OK Go all day and all the way home, of course ... It was just one of those universe-is-aligning moments. It nearly made me cry, I must admit with embarrassment.

Bad things happen to good people who decide to drink Sprite while reading your blog. Basically, they happen to shoot the Sprite out their noses.

I don't blame the baby rhino or even you. I blame my imagination and my amazing ability of mental imagery. Baby rhinos rolling around on their bellies, chortling with glee is the best mental image I've had all week. And now I have a sore nose to remember it by. Everytime I drink Sprite I'll remember the image, and snort Sprite out my nostrils again. Very ladylike.

Oh, and I did call. So much so that they probably have my number blocked by now. Poor fools, that won't stop me.

Just had to come here again. It's 11/21, btw. Anyway, this morning I got up, turned WXRT on, a song ended, and HIGA came on.

XM Flight 26 is also playing HIGA just about every other song. Not to mention pretty much every Chicago station with the exception of maybe Smooth Jazz.

you know I've known about the dance to that song for so long with the treadmills and had no idea you guys were actually a band. aint that some shit. well good on you for your originality and your steadfast commitment to real rock and roll. there's just not a lot of people keeping the spirit alive these days. I still listen to zeppelin stead-fastly though. doing my part. anywho, you didnt list any canadian stations so to hell with you and your rhinos. good luck and all!

Don't even get me started. The people in my area are so completely not into anything remotely in OK Go's genre, so it makes me (Elizabeth) and my friend Paulina different. But that's not the point, it's for the enjoyment value not the image that you recieve from it. People need to grab reality by the horns and take it for a ride because when people become "music snobs" it is separating music from others and that isn't cool. I mean why can't we just let people listen to what they like, it isn't a tag it isn't a personality. I mean it someone's a jerkenhimer than go ahead and dislike them secretly why bring it out in the open. Cat Stevens would put shame on us all.

Sadly OK Go my radio stations don't play this type of music but it doesn't make it rock any less and I am proud to say that I am an OK Go fan. Eventually I'll get the chance to see you in concert, but paying for gas is important and I think my mom would kill me if I just stopped eating. Ha, yeah she definately would. Ok, well I appriciate the music keep it awesome and tangible.

I love the fact that I'm commenting on an entry that's 3 1/2 years old. But I had to give props for the Camper reference. You guys should tour together.
